Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić has accused critical media outlets of causing panic, dubbing their editorial departments as “holier-than-thou tycoons’ media”, which with their reporting – as she said – ram thorny sticks into the wheels of progress.
During a guest appearance on national television channel Happy TV, she questioned whether media outlets that report critically and highlight failings of the system during the state of emergency “with their hatred of President Aleksandar Vučić, want to destroy the entire country”.
“Why, people, are you doing this? Do you hate Aleksandar Vučić so much that, through him, you hate your country, all of its citizens, the whole system? And why are you doing this? Do you not love your country; should this epidemic endure, what exactly is the intention? Because you hate Vučić, you want to destroy the entire country? Well, I don’t think that will be possible,” said Ana Brnabić, among other things.
