Prime Minister Ana Brnabić persistently undermines and makes accusations against critical media outlets, but this time she’s gone too far even for her own standards by declaring that investigative media outlets are deservedly being accused of “providing heartfelt support to the Veljko Belivuk criminal clan”.
Belivuk and his associates have been accused of a large number of murders, trafficking in drugs and weapons, kidnapping and other crimes.
Stevan Dojčinović, editor of KRIK, the Crime and Corruption Reporting Network, is convinced that PM Brnabić was referring to his portal, as KRIK has previously been mentioned in the same context.
According to journalist Branko Čečen, investigative journalists aren’t the ones with links to Belivuk’s clan, but rather the government and Aleksandar Vučić, via his son Danilo.
