During an attempt to film the building of company Aseko for the purposes of a TV report, a film crew of cable info television channel N1 was attacked by a member of the company’s security staff, who hit their camera and issued open threats against the television crew.
Aseko is at the centre of media attention as a result of its lucrative contracts with state-owned companies. The company’s director is Igor Brnabić, the brother of Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.
The incident led both Aseko and the company engaged in securing the building to issue a formal apology to N1. The attack was also condemned by Serbian journalists’ and media associations.
