After photos of a naked girl from the sixth grade [age 12] of the local Radoje Domanović Primary School were distributed around Vranje, the correspondent of national daily newspaper Večernje Novosti for this town in southern Serbia, Jelena Stojković, who wrote about the incident, received death threats from a woman presenting herself as the girl’s mother.
The home of this Večernje Novosti journalist was subsequently placed under intensified police surveillance, while the Vranje Prosecution Office launched a pre-trial investigation due to the threats.
