Journalist Slaviša Lekić, author of a two-part documentary on Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić entitled Vladalac [The Ruler], has announced that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and several other individuals – including the editor-in-chief of tabloid Informer – will have to answer to the competent authorities for the witch-hunt being led against him, while he has publicly requested that police director Vladimir Rebić compel the Serbian Interior Ministry to conduct a security assessment regarding the level of threat against him.

Audio and video production house JSP, which produced the documentary, denied allegations made by individual media outlets claiming that the two-part Vladalac series, broadcast on 17th and 18th February on TV N1, represented “four hours of unadulterated hatred”, and denied that the series was financed by “the opposition, united tycoons from Serbia, Milo Đukanović, the European Union et al”.

The EU Delegation to Belgrade stated that the European Union did not finance nor was included in the Vladalac documentary series in any way.
