During the month of May, about 30 calls were made to the recently launched SOS hotline for reporting threats and attacks against journalists, according to an announcement made at the session of the Working Group for the Security and Protection of Journalists.
This Working Group formed nine new cases in April on the basis of the same number of reports of attacks on journalists, while in the period from 1st January to 30th April it had formed 38 new cases in which 37 people have been identified.
Attacks against journalists Jelena Zorić and Daško Milinović prompted the filing of court indictments by the Second Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Novi Sad.
