Over the past six years, REM, the regulatory body for electronic media, has imposed 20 measures against TV Hepi (Happy), one of the televisions with a national frequency, which is a record holder among electronic media in Serbia in this respect. The REM has banned the broadcasting of TV Hepi twice for several days since 2014.<\/h2>\n

According to the Slavko \u0106uruvija Foundation’s research entitled \u201cLet’s Bring REM to Purpose!\u201d, this regulatory body also filed charges against TV Hepi, but these proceedings were suspended due to the statute of limitations, with all court costs paid from the Serbian budget.<\/p>\n

According to the same research, none of the four commercial television stations that have a national frequency broadcast all of the five obligatory programming genres (informative, children’s, scientific-educational, documentary and cultural-artistic), but in response the REM Council has to date only imposed one measure in the form of a warning, and that was to Novi Sad local radio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
