Some 307 violations were committed by daily newspaper\u00a0<em>Blic<\/em>\u00a0and 206 by\u00a0<em>Ve\u010dernje novosti<\/em>, while the fewest recorded violations were found in newspaper\u00a0<em>Politika<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 just 36.<\/p>\n<p>The monitoring project also included reporting on children, i.e. young people aged under 18, and in this respect the most violations were recorded of Chapter 7, Clause 4 of the Code, which instructs that journalists take care to ensure the safety and privacy of children.<\/p>\n<p>Tabloid newspaper\u00a0<em>Alo<\/em>\u00a0was also the top violator in this category \u2013 violating the rights of the child in 80 cases, followed by\u00a0<em>Kurir\u00a0<\/em>(70), with\u00a0<em>Informer<\/em>\u00a0third (28), followed by\u00a0<em>Ve\u010dernje novosti<\/em>\u00a0(21),\u00a0<em>Srpski telegraf (13) and Blic (8).<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 31, 2019 Eight national newspapers in Serbia violated the Code of Journalists as many as 3,615 times during the period from August to the end of December 2018, according to monitoring conducted by experts of the Press Council, journalists Tamara Skrozza and Petar Jeremi\u0107.
